In 1977, Bob Stuart and Allen Boothroyd founded Meridian Audio.
Brought together by a shared love of music, their professional partnership was born of their desire to better hear it. Since founding the company more than 30 years ago, both have remained at the heart of their respective disciplines: Bob heading all technological developments; Allen leading the design team.
The results have been some of the most highly-praised audio equipment in the world, setting many a high-performance audio standard. As well as innumerable international awards for their components' performance and technology, Meridian's founders have the British Design Council Award for Outstanding British Products an unbeaten three times.
Based in Cambridgeshire, as they have been from the company's inception, every Meridian piece is still conceived, engineered, and built in the UK.
